Dialogue - About a Girl :: Dialogue Conversation Essays
Dialogue - About a Girl ââ¬Å"Iââ¬â¢m always especially tired after 12 hours of consciousness,â⬠Ryan stated, ââ¬Å"but today was different.â⬠ââ¬Å"Howââ¬â¢s that?â⬠Ted asked. ââ¬Å"I actually had an idea for a poem. Actually I probably wouldââ¬â¢ve written it as a short story, but I didnââ¬â¢t end up writing it because I thought it probably wouldââ¬â¢ve been a stupid storyâ⬠Ted, surprised, replied, ââ¬Å"Ryan, werenââ¬â¢t you just complaining the other day that your ââ¬Ëwell of inspiration had become a thimble of mediocrityââ¬â¢? Just tell me what your little poem was about, and Iââ¬â¢ll let you know what I think about it. He didnââ¬â¢t want to find out that the thing that inspired him and occupied his creative mind was just another ball of gas or chunk of rock. "Thatââ¬â¢s basically it, except I wouldââ¬â¢ve written it with more detail and with a dramatic feel. I can see it on your face that you werenââ¬â¢t impressed. I told you you wouldnââ¬â¢t be impressed.â⬠ââ¬Å"Well, first thing is your story wasnââ¬â¢t stupid. Seriously,â⬠Ted said in an almost patronizing voice. ââ¬Å"Enough of that. What was it, do you think?â⬠ââ¬Å"Honestly, it's just starting to bother me that your story was just another of your typical whining-romantic themes. Its obvious that the star represents that
